New reports are in that estranged couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a custody agreement over their children in their ongoing divorce case.
According to a statement released by Jolie’s rep, Angelina will continue to have sole custody of her six children with Brad Pitt in a joint agreement reached by the actors. However, the agreement allows Brad Pitt to have “therapeutic visits” with the couple’s six children, who range in age from 8 to 15.
The world was left in shock when news made the rounds in September that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. She initially cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. However, not long after, Brad Pitt was accused of physically abusing their son Maddox on a private jet, sparking police investigations on child abuse.
Brad and Angelina reached a temporary custody agreement in late September that included at least some of the same terms — visitation with his children and both sides agreeing to meetings with therapists.
Just few days ago, their divorce drama got messy when Brad countered Jolie’s divorce petition by filing for the joint custody of their children after the 41-year-old actress demanded for sole custody of their children.
The former power couple were married for two years but were together for 12 years after meeting on the set of their 2005 block buster, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
